Man fatally shot in Middletown domestic disturbance

A man was shot to death in Middletown Sunday afternoon in an apparent domestic disturbance incident, police said.

Officers were called to a home on Bow Lane just after 1 p.m. Sunday for a report of a shooting and found the man suffering from gunshot wounds to his chest and abdomen, according to the Middletown Police Department.

He was taken to Middlesex Hospital where he died from his injuries, police said.

Detectives from the Major Investigations Squad were called to the scene and were still investigating as of Sunday evening.

The department said the shooting was “an isolated incident and there is no specific danger to the public.”
