Since then, the pub landlady has been desperate to get her hands on the Rovers again while ITV viewers were promised by soap boss Iain MacLeod that the venue would get a fresh start in scenes due to air.
Waterford’s were left in charge of the Rovers and were hopeful to turn the pub into a block of flats – but these plans have been successfully thwarted.
Coming up, Jenny’s efforts are fruitful as she gets into business with her former stepdaughter Daisy Midgeley (Charlotte Jordan).
In future scenes of the Manchester-based drama, Jenny breaks the news to Daisy that their bid was accepted and the Rovers is now officially theirs.
Daisy hugs Jenny in excitement, knowing they will finally be able to work behind the bar together again.
But while their worries about the Rovers finally come to an end, Daisy has unfinished business with her fiancé Daniel Osbourne (Rob Mallard).
Later, in the café, Jenny and Daisy discuss the reopening of the pub just as Daniel heads over and tells Daisy he’d like a chat.
She’s left hopeful that he might want to try again.
In other scenes, Daisy tells Jenny she’s spoken to Waterford’s and they’ve agreed that they can reopen the pub in time for New Year’s Eve.
Jenny is delighted by the thought of being able to reopen her pub.
