I raided Aldi’s ‘aisle of shame’ for Christmas gifts, there are $13 gingerbread houses & stocking stuffers up the wazoo
CHRISTMAS gift ideas are not in short supply in Aldi’s “aisle of shame.”
That’s the experience of one dedicated shopper who found gingerbread houses for $13 and stocking stuffers up the wazoo.

She raided the store on their restock day, and had plenty to choose from.
Genevieve Show (@genevieve) could not believe the selection for bargain basement prices.
This lady shares her love of “home, Amazon, and food,” on her TikTok.
But in this post, she was focussing on her Christmas haul from Aldi.
And there was a limitless choice: “Christmas gifts for her, gingerbread houses, gifts for kids, kitchenware, décor, and stocking stuffers,” she said.
Christmas Tree – $39
First to take her breath away was a Christmas tree for $39.99: “Oh my God,” she exclaimed.
Cable Sweater Dress – $3

She was equally stunned by a winter-style fashion item.
“A dress for $3,” she said sounding disbelieving of the Serra ladies’ cable sweater dress. “Shut up. I bought cash. I can take this one with me for free.”
Mini Waffle Maker – $8
A Mini Christmas tree waffle maker made an impression. “It’s so cute,” she said.
Gua Shah Stone Set – $4
Beauty products were on offer too, including a gua shah stone set: “This is a really good gift for her.”
Burt Bees – $4.99
An entire Burt Bees gift set was only $4.99: “What a yummy stocking stuffer,” she said.
Christmas Baubles – $3.99
More festive décor ideas came in the form of a Crofton Christmas bauble, $3.99.
Gingerbread House – $12.99
Next, her attention was grabbed by the gingergread selection.
“Gingerbread train kit, $9.99,” she said.” And, for a few dollars extra, you could extend.
“They still have the pre-built gingerbread houses, $12.99,” she wrote.
Some gifts were not such a hit, however. The tinkling of musical cookie box for $5.99, was not for her.
“If horror movies didn’t kill that sound for me I would love that.”
There were lots of ideas to keep kids busy over the holiday period.
“If your kid is into arts and crafts,” she said focussing in on a punch needle kit for $4.99.
She loved the literature section too: “Storytime book collection. The teacher in me is going crazy right now. Seven stories for $8.”
Finally, into her basket was something she readily admitted has no function in her life.
“Milk chocolate stirrers. “I’m going to be extra and buy this, ” she said of the $4.49 item.
Then added: “[But] I don’t need it.”
