Nearly 200 nations meeting in Dubai on Wednesday approved a first-ever call for the world to transition away from fossil fuels, the top culprit of climate change behind a planetary crisis. "What we have now is more ambitious than just reducing production and consumption [of fossil fuels] because you have this idea of moving away, leaving an old system behind and potentially ushering in a new era of cleaner energy," FRANCE 24 Environment Editor Valérie Dekimpe said.
