Danielle didn’t, and decided to splash out on a £25 “women’s stocking filler” box from Age UK on eBay.
“It cost £24.99, and I got 24 items,” Danielle began her video on TikTok.
“So here are the highlights.”
First up was a bottle of La Roche-Posay Nicinamide serum, which costs £36 on its own.
She also got a rose quartz face roller set, a water bottle and a ceramic candle.
“I could smell this candle before opening it,” she said.
“It smells amazing. It’s ceramic and is like £20 on Amazon!”
She then got a 14 carat white gold necklace, some nipple covers, and another expensive face serum – which retails for £99.
“Can you believe this basically cost me £1?” she marvelled.
Danielle went on to pull a cute pink knitted cardigan out of the box, and noted that the “stuff just kept coming” – with loads of face masks, beauty bits and make-up.
She then said that she’d decided to give her box away as a festive competition treat for her followers.
People were quick to comment on the video, with many admitting they’d inspired them to purchase a mystery box.
“Omg this is amazing!!! i’ve ordered one,” one wrote.
“Wow that’s amazing!! I would definitely buy one of these boxes,” another added.
