Utah forward Alissa Pili's hype train is reaching capacity, the time to watch her ball is now

Alissa Pili is a walking bucket, and everybody should be on notice.

There have been so many head-turning performances this college basketball season. From opening day upsets to an incredible group of freshmen to Caitlin Clark re-writing history books, women’s sports are the moment.

Yet, there is someone else who deserves her flowers. You need to know Utah women’s basketball star Alissa Pili.

Pili is a senior forward who spent three seasons at USC before joining the team. She started 58 games there and was named the Pac-12 Freshman of the Year. Since joining Utah, she has added Pac-12 Player of the Year and First Team All-Conference honors to her impressive resumé.

On December 10, she put on a stunning masterclass in basketball by dropping a career-high 37 points on No.1 ranked South Carolina.

Pili’s colossal performance is impressive, but her filthy footwork and discipline in the paint should make hoops fans ecstatic. South Carolina had virtually no response for Pili as she created looks from all over the floor.

Her recent play garners well-deserved national attention, including Associated Press national Player of the Week.

The Alissa Pili hype train is close to leaving the station. Please don’t say we didn’t warn you.
