Let Steph Have Joy Somewhere Else aka Let's Blow It Up
As a die-hard Dubs fan back to Run-TMC days I can't even watch the Warriors right now. It is so painful and reminds of a daytime soap opera. Let's make a list:
- Draymond is borderline (at best) mentally ill. Get him to a team with an alpha bigger than him (Lakers/Lebron) who could have a chance to keep him in line.
- Goodbye Klay. We love you man, but your next contract is somewhere else.
- Stop torturing Steph. Get him to a team that has a chance where Steph can find some joy in playing BB again. And, get some assets back like a Damian or Donovan Mitchell trade.
- Kerr. IDK about this one but don't think he is a rebuild coach. Find a young guy like Mazulla, Hardy, etc.
- Wiggins - trade him for whatever.
- Looney - trade him for whatever
- CP - ditto
- GP - ditto
- Saric - ditto
Who to keep is probably the right question. Kuminga, Moody, and Podz.
Is Dunleavy the right guy for a rebuild? That might be the biggest question of all.
Once this starts and the expectations and baggage are gone, I could start engaging with this team on an emotional fan level. Right now, it is just too painful.
I guess we can thank and hate Draymond at the same time for bringing this to a close. If anyone was on the fence about to rebuild now or not, you cannot be wondering anymore. I personally don't want to see the Dubs stringing Steph along for the rest of his career. Let the man free.
