Costa Rica to meet El Salvador in friendly

SAN JOSE, Dec. 13 (Xinhua) -- Costa Rica will meet El Salvador in a friendly in February 2024 as part of preparations for a Copa America playoff, the country's football federation said on Wednesday.

The encounter will be played at the National Stadium in capital San Jose at 8pm on February 2, the federation said in a statement.

The match falls outside of FIFA's international window, meaning clubs are not
