It seems that the decision to sign up to the show and be faced with his biggest fears in the horror Bushtucker Trials is one that will seriously pay off with Tony set to be laughing all the way to the bank.
Tony could be seeing an impressive £3million boost to his bank account over the next 12 months according to industry experts.
Professor Jonathan Shalit OBE, agent to the UK’s biggest stars and chairman of InterTalent, has spilled how he thinks Tony’s universal appeal could see him rake in a slew of seven-figure sums.
Jonathan said of the boxing ace: “Tony Bellew is the revelation of this years I’m A Celebrity. Tony has become a national treasure with the world at his feet.
“Brands and commercial opportunities across the board will be lining up for Tony’s signature.
“I estimate he will earn three million pounds in the next 12 months and over 10 million pounds in the coming years.”
He added that a whole new wave of people will be discovering Tony for the first time who may have been unaware of his boxing achievements.
Jonathan continued: “People love discovering someone new and Tony has been the big discovery of this series for those not in the boxing world. We have loved Tony’s jungle journey.”
Tony proved to be a real fan favourite during his time Down Under.
During an appearance on Good Morning Britain, Tony confessed that he only signed up for the show after a close pal convinced him to.
He said: “I’ve got a close friend called Mike. Mike, thank you very much. He talked me round and said ‘go in there because no one really knows you’.
“And I didn’t care if people knew me, I wasn’t that bothered, and I wasn’t sure if people were ever really gonna like me because the persona of me is just I’m a maniac who punches people in the face.
“But the truth is I’m a normal person, I’m the exact same as every person watching now, the only difference is I used to punch people in the face for a living.
“Well, that’s gone now. It’s been five years since I’ve done that and you’ve just seen me. So I guess people like me for me.”
