Lady reveals a list of 10 gifts NO woman wants for Christmas and it’s really divided opinion
FROM jewellery to perfume, men will be racking their brains to try and think of a Christmas gift they can get their loved ones this Christmas.
But for anyone struggling, then you may just want to listen up…because Mae Alexis has shared 10 gifts that she claims no woman wants to receive this December 25.
Mae explained that hoovers, mops and dusters are a big no[/caption]In the clip shared to TikTok (@maelexilamb), the mum-of-four begins by urging people to avoid buying women “hoovers , mops dusters…really any cleaning tool.”
She asks: “Like what are you trying to say…that it’s my job to clean the house? Same goes for washers and dryers.”
Next up on Mae’s list of gifts not to give woman are “Christmas -themed coffee mugs” – particularly ones that are too small – and Christmas-themed candles.
“OK, seriously. If it’s a Christmas gift…you just gave her a gift she can’t use for another whole year. These make great early presents though!” she says.
Moving on, Mae notes that another present no lady wants to receive is Christmas decorations.
“Really, if you’re giving a Christmas decoration as a gift on Christmas…then it should be spectacular and REALLY specific to the person,” she warns.
“Otherwise it just feels like you just didn’t know what to get her…”
The social media user also says that other presents to avoid include super cheap candles or a body spray just because “you like the scent.”
She explains: “I can’t tell you how many body sprays and perfumes I have that I NEVER use because they simply aren’t my scent.’
“Body sprays and perfumes are a very personal choice – just don’t risk it.”
Not stopping there, she warns: “Do not buy a knockoff Roomba [iRobot hoover] as a Christmas present for her – you should hear the noises this one makes!
“Now…unless it’s one that hoovers, mops and self-cleans, just don’t even bother with this one!”
And last but not least, she concludes by warning people not to gift women with baby products for the new baby.
“A year’s worth subscription to Coterie [a site that sells everything from nappies and baby wipes] paid in full? That’s a great gift for the baby but not for her!” she explains.
The post has since gone viral, racking up over 40k views and hundreds of comments from social media users – but reactions were very divided.
“I’ve asked for a different type of hoover like 4 Christmases in a row lol,” wrote one.
A second penned: “I’m immediately out. I requested so many vacuums, mops, steam cleaners etc for Christmas over the years.”
A third commented: “I get so excited about new hoovers and appliances and whatever but I know better than to assume other people would too.”
Meanwhile, a fourth noted: “I would love most of this stuff lol.”
