Waterloo Road star to become a dad again as he reveals his wife is pregnant with their second child
Waterloo Road star Tom Payne is set to become a dad again after revealing that his musician wife is pregnant with their second child.
Tom, who first found fame as schoolboy Brett Aspinall in the BBC school drama, shared the couple’s happy baby news as he reposted a snap shared by his wife on instagram.
In the sweet picture, Tom’s stunning singer wife Jennifer Akerman can be seen showing off her bump as she poses at a Vogue event held earlier this week.
Writing alongside the photo, model and musician Jennifer, who performs under the name Final Child, wrote: “Here we go again @thetompayne.”
She then followed it with a love heart emoji.
Tom later reposted it to his own account alongside a string of hilarious peeking eye and laughing emojis.
Since leaving Waterloo Road in 2008 after two series, Tom has gone on to find huge success in the US.
He starred as Paul “Jesus” Rovia on AMC’s The Walking Dead for three seasons.
In 2019, Tom was cast in the lead role as Malcolm Bright, the lead character in The Prodigal Son, which aired on Fox in the US.
Tom has also had roles in other hit shows and films including Skins, Wuthering Heights and Miss Marple.
Tom and Jennifer revealed in 2013 that they were dating.
The pair married in December 2020 after they were forced to postpone their wedding due to the Covid pandemic.
The couple welcomed a son in January 2022.
