Doraha Police arrests two persons, Gurdeep Singh and Maninder Pal Singh, recovering counterfeit currency worth Rs.13.70 lakhs. Police recovered Rs.9.5 lakhs fake currency from a car during a checkpoint on GT Road. Further investigation led to the recovery of Rs.4.2 lakhs fake currency from Gurdeep Singh's rented accommodation in Patiala, along with a color printer, ink, and note printing paper. Gurdeep Singh, with 4 cases of printing fake currency, is believed to be the mastermind. Police suspects that the accused have circulated Rs.1.5 lakhs fake currency in the market. Interrogations are ongoing.
