My partner wants me to move in but refuses to financially support my son
DEAR DEIDRE: MY partner keeps asking me to move in with him but at the same time he refuses to financially support me and my son.
I’d like to be with him but his lack of commitment worries me – that and the fact he insists I would need to get a full-time job.
He works full-time and earns a comfortable wage.
I have an 11-year-old and work part-time.
If I got a full-time job, I’d lose a huge chunk of my benefit support, which I rely on for my son.
My son also has a lot of hospital appointments that I have to take him to.
