Pete Wicks hits out at claims he had a ‘cheap facelift’ while in Australia for I’m A Celeb pal Sam Thompson
PETE Wicks has said he ended up looking like he had a “cheap facelift” after appearing on TV looking very different.
The 35-year-old left fans concerned after he showed up to the jungle to support his best pal, Sam Thompson.
Fans were left distracted by Pete’s face as it appeared ‘swollen’ and unlike his usual fresh-faced appearance.
On his podcast, Staying Relevant, which he co-hosts with Sam, Pete said: “Firstly, no I haven’t had a facelift, I haven’t had plastic surgery.
“What happened was, if you would’ve seen me two days before I went into the jungle, my face was sweaty but fine.
“On the day of Sam winning the jungle, obviously, I had been brutally attacked by mosquitoes. They absolutely f**ked me.
“I’ve been bit on my eyelids and all around my eyelids and no one had told me.
“So what has come from that is I have been absolutely savaged by people who think that I’ve gone to Australia for a cheap facelift or something.
“This is the biggest moment in Sam’s TV career, I was there to support whilst looking like Chuckies bride.
“It is so bad because it’s obviously such a big deal, the biggest show on TV, It’s everywhere.”
Referencing that no one told him how he looked on the I’m A Celeb bridge, Pete added: “Not only have I done that stupid bridge thing, they’ve also got me flipping filming stuff with him back at the hotel.
“I had to keep my sunglasses on for the rest of it because my eyes were slowly closing.”
Last week, Sam was revealed as the King of the Jungle after a tense finale with controversial politician Nigel Farage and retired boxer Tony Bellew.
