MLS Pulling Out of Open Cup
What many of saw coming and many on here denied (quite obnoxiously i might add) apparently it is happening. Looking forward to folks on here defending this and not understanding the impact it has on American soccer and the USMNT.
This move tidily sums up what so many people dislike about MLS to begin with: the corporate bullshit, the fact that they seek to assert control over most aspects of the game of soccer in the US and the fact that they sometimes have active disdain for the history of the game here.

Of course, he walks it back a bit.
To be clear, it is not MLS’ job or obligation to foster the growth of smaller leagues or respect the traditions of American soccer. They also don’t have to actively shit on those things, but here we are.
