Urgent recall of children’s drinks after metal is found in straw
The juices are belived to be contaminated.

A number of children’s juices including Calypso and Asda apple & blackcurrant have been urgently recalled by the manufacturer.
Refresco Beverages UK is recalling the drinks over fears the straws may be contaminated with metal, making them unsafe.
The company has advised customers to return the products to the store the bought them from for a full refund.
Potentially contaminated beverages include Calypso 150ml Orange & Apple juice cartons, which are popular with children.

Other affected products include 6 Asda brand multi-pack juice drinks, including 3x150ml packs of Orange Juice From Concentrate, 100% pure Apple Juice from Concentrate, and their Just Essentials Orange Juice From Concentrate.
Two 5-pack multipacks of Asda Apple & Blackcurrant Juice Drink and Asda Apple & Mango Juice Drink are also among the recall list.
If there is a problem with a food product that means it should not be sold, then it might be ‘withdrawn’ (taken off the shelves) or ‘recalled’ (when customers are asked to return the product).
The FSA issues Product Withdrawal Information Notices and Product Recall Information Notices to let consumers and local authorities know about problems associated with food.
In some cases, a ‘Food Alert for Action’ is issued. This provides local authorities with details of specific action to be taken on behalf of consumers.
