Trolls say my low cut tops and leggings are ‘inappropriate clothes for a grandma’ but I don’t care, I’m only in my 40s
A GRANDMA in her 40s has hit out at trolls who have accused her of not dressing in a style befitting her age.
Keyboard warriors have expressed their displeasure with her outfit choices of low-cut tops and leggings.
These, they have told her, are “inappropriate clothes for a grandma.”
She, however, is having none of their nonsense and doesn’t care about their opinions.
As far as Tara Gen X (@tara26000016) is concerned, she’s only in her 40s.
This popular lady has 845,000 followers on her TikTok, where she proudly declares herself as: “CEO of cougar watch.”
Tara challenges the notion over how grandmas should dress.
Sensible shoes, elasticated-waisted pants, and baggy sweaters are a long way off for her.
She feels sassy and sexy and that’s how she wants to dress, regardless of what her detractors think.
Her outfit of choice in this post was a case in point.
Her long blonde, touseled hair hung loose around her shoulders.
On her feet, she wore a pair of feathery, towering heels, with some skin-tight leggings in leopard skin print, and a lacy black top.
“That’s an inappropriate way for a grandmother to dress,” was captioned across the screen, imitating the sort of comments she’s had to endure.
But she casually shrugged off the haters: “I don’t care.”
Instead, she had some advice: “Focus on the beauty that’s all around you.”
Commenters certainly had no problem with the way she dressed.
“That’s a perfectly appropriate way to dress,” said one person.
It was a similar view from this fan: “A grandmother that looks the way you do, you can dress any way you want and still put many younger women to shame.”
It was repeated by this person: “There’s nothing wrong with the way you dress. You look fantastic.”
And this viewer had an enquiry about her leggings: “Is that cougar print?”
