'Home Alone 2' is better than 'Home Alone,' says sequel actor Rob Schneider
- "Home Alone 2" actor Rob Schneider believes the sequel is better than the original film.
- Schneider said on "Fox News Saturday Night" that the sequel is shown on TV every year.
- "They don't show 'Home Alone 1' every Christmas," he added.
Rob Schneider believes "Home Alone 2: Lost in New York" is better than the original "Home Alone" movie.
Schneider, who played hotel bellhop Cedric in "Home Alone 2," said on "Fox News Saturday Night" that the second movie is the best because it airs regularly on TV during the holidays.
"They don't show 'Home Alone 1' every Christmas," the comedian said. "'Home Alone 1' is just a family who doesn't know how to take care of their children."
Schneider continued: "But 'Home Alone 2' is a movie about a child's ingenuity, and also about a family who doesn't know how to keep an eye on their children."
In the sequel, the lead character, Kevin McCallister (Macaulay Culkin), finds himself lost in New York and stays at the Plaza Hotel, where he is met with suspicion from staff including Cedric (Schneider), and the hotel's concierge, played by Tim Curry.
A scene from the movie was shown on Saturday's "Fox News Saturday Night," which led to Schneider joking about losing his hair since the 1992 film.
"The thing I get out of that is how much hair I had. That was beautiful," he said. "My kids see that and they cannot believe that I was ever that young."
The debate over the best "Home Alone" movie was a hot topic on social media earlier this month.
On X, the platform formerly known as Twitter, user @adoreanise asked followers to name the best "Home Alone" movie.
Although six "Home Alone" films have been made, social-media users were asked to pick between the first three.

Many fans criticized the third film, since it is the first movie without the original lead actor, Macaulay Culkin.
"Any home alone after the second one is an abomination," one fan wrote.
Another wrote: "Not y'all sneaking Home Alone 3 in there. We don't acknowledge that one."
However, there were a few "Home Alone 3" defenders.
"2 is my favorite but 3 criminally underrated," one fan said.
