EastEnders actor drops huge hint they’re the Christmas Day killer in shocking twist
EASTENDERS’ Jack Branning actor Scott Maslen has dropped a huge hint that they’re the Christmas Day killer in a shocking twist.
If this is true, it would be a big surprise for fans because all the suspects until now have been women.
Scott – the actor who portrays Jack Branning – disclosed the reason why Jack might end up on the floor of the Queen Vic on Christmas Day.
Earlier this year, in February, a glimpse into the future revealed that a yet-to-be-identified male character would meet his demise at The Queen Vic during the Christmas season.
Speculations about the victim’s identity have been circulating among fans ever since.
What we did know was that Suki Panesar, Kathy Beale, Linda Carter, Denise Fox, Stacey Slater, and Sharon Watts were all present at the crime scene and are the potential killers.
In an interview with The Mirror, Scott cautioned fans to anticipate surprises when it comes to Jack.
He said: “I hear from actors, ‘My character wouldn’t do that,’ and I always say, ‘Well, you’re not going to last long in the game.’
“Because if you want to be long in the game, your character is gonna go a lot of places so be prepared and it’s fun.”
Scott, 52, unveiled that Jack might face the temptation to revert to his old misbehaving ways, hinting at the possibility that he could be the culprit.
He said: “When I started, Jack was a bit naughty, it’s takes a thief to catch a thief, and I’ve spent so long in the job that they’ve made me see error of my ways and that’s the great thing about a show like this, is that you get to live with someone for a long time.
“EastEnders is back into the place where it used to be in the old days, different generations are coming up and loving it.
“For Jack, you’ve got his reunion with Denise, with the new baby, we’ve got the Fox/Slater/Branning [family] so that opens that door. The nature of it is that you can go anywhere with your characters.”
