The Indian Sports Ministry has suspended the newly-elected Wrestling Federation of India (WFI) due to concerns about its governance and integrity. The ministry has written to the Indian Olympic Association (IOA) to form an ad-hoc body to manage the affairs of WFI. The WFI was suspended until further orders after the body announced the U-15 and U-20 nationals without proper procedures and sufficient notice to wrestlers.
