Maharashtra reported 50 new COVID-19 cases on Sunday, bringing the total infections in the state to 81,72,135 since the onset of the pandemic. Nine of the new cases were caused by the JN.1 sub-variant, with a total of 10 cases linked to this variant in the state. All JN.1 patients have recovered.
