Scores of people flocked to the area, adding to the festive atmosphere. Churches, bathed in the warm glow of lights, were ready for the special mass prayer.

Not just Park Street but also Harish Mukherjee Road and other locations in Kolkata were decked out in festive splendour. Churches like St Paul Cathedral C
