Reports: Mets agree to terms with RHP Chad Smith

The New York Mets have agreed to terms with right-handed reliever Chad Smith on a minor league contract with an invitation to major league spring training, according to multiple media reports on Sunday.

Smith pitched in 10 games last season for the Oakland Athletics, compiling a 1-2 record and 6.59 ERA with seven walks, nine strikeouts and 15 hits allowed in 13 2/3 innings. H
