Teen girl and her parents found dead inside $5,000,000 mansion
A couple and their teenage daughter were discovered dead inside their $5million mansion days before the New Year.
The bodies of Rakesh Kamal, 57, his wife Teena, 54, and their daughter Arianna, 18, were found in their home in Dover, Massachusetts, on Thursday night, according to Norfolk District Attorney Michael Morrissey. A gun was next to Rakesh.
‘We will not tell you at this time where it was found, but it was found near the husband, I’ll just leave it at that,’ Morrissey said on Friday.
‘I don’t know who it was registered to at this time, that’s part of the ongoing investigation.’
A relative of the family went to the home at 8 Wilsons Way shortly before 7.30pm and found a deceased person, then called 911.
Preliminary findings from the investigation did not suggest a break-in or a crime involving an outside player.
‘The evidence available at this time does not indicate the involvement of any outside party, but suggests that this is a deadly incident of domestic violence,’ stated David Traub, a spokesman for Morrissey.
There was no ongoing danger to the Dover community linked to the incident, Traub added.
The mansion is valued at $5.45million, according to town records obtained by CBS Boston.
Regarding whether there was a lien on the home, Morrissey said he was ‘not familiar with any of the financial situation’.
Arianna was studying at Middlebury College in Vermont and the family had relatives in the US as well as abroad, the district attorney said.
The trio’s death is shrouded in mystery.
‘There’s been no police reports, there’s been no problems, no domestic issues, no nothing at that house or in the entire neighborhood that I’m aware of,’ Morrissey said.
‘It’s very rare to have this kind of violence or situation almost in any community in Norfolk County, particularly Dover.’
Dover was considered the wealthiest town in the state and is about 20 miles southwest of Boston. The last murder there occurred in 2020.
