Baffled cops pull over cowboy driver with 96 points on his licence
POLICE pulled over a driver and found he had 96 points on his licence.
The disqualified and uninsured motorist, 23, was stopped in Bucknall, Staffs, on Boxing Day.
The officers seized his Vauxhall Astra and extended his ban to 2027.
They will also talk to crown prosecutors about a possible jail term.
Staffordshire Police Roads Policing Unit posted on social media “Unbelievably this chap had 96 points.”
Asked how he could have so many, it replied: “By just ignoring any punishment and continuing to drive, gets caught and keeps getting more and more points.”
Drivers get a six-month ban for 12 or more points within three years.
They face a year’s ban for a second disqualification within three years, and a two-year ban for a third disqualification.
