Davina McCall shows off her style as she prepares to launch lingerie line for women with post baby bodies
BAREFOOT Davina McCall dips her toe in a new venture as she prepares to launch a lingerie line.
The telly presenter, 56, said what is often on offer for women with post-baby bodies is “the plainest, most neutral, depressing big pants”.
Her range is called “Sessi — a mixture of sexy and sassy, which is how I want people to feel”.
Davina — who posed in a shoot for the February issue of Good Housekeeping which is on sale now — added: “I’m quite often all or nothing as a person. I haven’t had a drink in 33 years.”
“I’ve spent my life being quite rigid with myself. When my sister died ten years ago, I literally stopped eating sugar.
“But that was unsustainable and now, in midlife, I’ve become a little bit more gentle with myself.”
It comes after Davina played a fictionalised version of herself on Monday’s Doctor Who Christmas special.
The Whoniverse’s Davina welcomed new Tardis companion Ruby Sunday, played by Millie Gibson to a genealogy show — like her ITV programme Long Lost Family.
But in a bizarre twist, the host was almost crushed by a falling Christmas tree — until she was saved by Ncuti Gatwa’s Doctor.
She previously voiced the Davinadroid in the 2005 episode Bad Wolf, which saw Christopher Eccleston’s Doctor trapped in a futuristic Big Brother house.
