A survey conducted by the school education and literacy department in Belagavi reveals a concerning trend of 217 children between the ages of 6 and 18 dropping out of school. Door-to-door enrolment drives highlighted the need for interventions to address the dropout rate in the district, especially in villages. Migration, parental indifference, child marriages, and household responsibilities contribute to this issue. The education department emphasizes the responsibility of educating migrant workers' children to the respective states, while ensuring no child remains out of school.
