Scare near Times Square a few days before New Year's Eve festivities

NEW YORK (PIX11) -- Final preparations are underway for the most iconic New Year's Eve party in the entire World.  

And while the area was packed with people Friday evening, a troubling incident was taking place nearby.  

A group of kids threw a glass bottle from a hotel.
