A couple has shared their home renovation journey after they transformed an old-fashioned ‘Harry Potter‘ house into their dream home.
The duo shared their achievement via videos posted to their TikTok channel @first_time_renovators12 where they boast almost 150,000 followers.
In one video, the pair shared before and after clips of their house.
In the before clips, the furniture is outdated, with garish yellow carpets and hideous pink wallpaper.
There was a tiny room separate to the bathroom for the toilet and green curtains in the living room that looked like they’d been hanging there for a hundred years.
The front room was decked out with an archaic TV set and an ugly electric fireplace.
The couple stripped the walls and ripped up the carpets.
They knocked down the walls to create an open plan downstairs area and completely gutted the property.
In clips showing what the house looked like after the renovation, the house is unrecognisable.
The couple of chosen a sophisticated grey, white and beige theme for the property and added a kitchen island and stunning hanging light fixtures to the kitchen.
They created a luxury bathroom with a standalone bathtub and golden taps and turned a pointless room with just a desk in it into a cosy dining area.
TikTok users raced to the comments section to share their thoughts on the home transformation, with many likening the before pictures to the house Harry Potter lives in with his horrible Aunt Petunia and Uncle Vernon.
One user said: “This is one of the best renos I’ve seen”.
Another user added: “Most amazing renovation I’ve ever seen. Wow”.
A third user said: “This is stunning. I would pay for you to renovate my house.”
