‘I need one,’ Asda shoppers say as winter clothes sale starts, including a £40 cream trench coat that’s now a fiver
When you next pop into your local supermarket, check out the clothes sales.
It comes after one savvy Asda shopper found a gorgeous coat for £5.
Posting in the Yellow Sticker Society Facebook Group, Joanna Arif shared her “really lovely bargain”.
The coat was seen amongst several others on the rail – so stock was good in the particular store she was shopping in – and the price tag clearly showed ‘Now £5’ instead of £40.
Her post gained hundreds of comments with Emma Bateman demanding: “OMG I want one.”
Kerrie Byers said: “Absolutely gorgeous”, whilst Noor Chaudhry said: “I need one of these.”
The particular coat is the Cream Belted Trench Coat that retails for £40.
Online, it has been slashed to £20, with limited sizes available.
The product description for the coat reads: “Made from 100 per cent polyester, it can be machine washed.”
It has a “collared neckline, long sleeves and button fasten cuffs”.
The coat also features an “open front, belt and two side slop pockets”.
It has an overall rating of 4.2 out of five stars online, with the latest customer calling it a “gorgeous coat, lovely material and fits nicely”.
Donna R also wrote a review: “I have always wanted a cream coat but was worried about getting it dirty quickly so wanted something that wasn’t expensive.
“The price is great as the coat looks very stylish although it is quite thin with no lining. Great for wearing jumpers etc under though.”
Someone else said ti was a “beautiful winter coat” and is “very pleased” with their purchase.
They said it “looks smart” and they “got loads of compliments” when wearing it.
