People think it’s cool having a famous star as a mum – but wait until you see inside my house
A YOUNG woman has revealed that she has a famous mother, and as a result, her home is a shrine dedicated to her.
Lola Case, 21, explained that her mum is American singer and TV personality, Michelle Visage, 55.
While Michelle first gained recognition as a member of the musical group Seduction, she is now best known for appearing as a judge on the American reality show RuPaul’s Drag Race.
The former pop singer has become an LGBT icon after eight years on the outrageous drag queen competition — which has a cult following amongst Millennials.
She also appeared in Celebrity Big Brother in 2015 and in 2018 made her West End debut in the flamboyant musical Everybody’s Talking About Jamie.
Posting on social media, Lola set the record straight about what it’s really like to have a celebrity mum.
She wrote: “When people think it’s cool having Michelle Visage as a mother but they don’t realise it means your house is a shrine dedicated to her.”
As Lola took her followers around her home, we first saw a glass cupboard full of Michelle Visage dolls.
Then, on the wall, Lola showed off a stunning caricature-style image of her famous mum.
There were other pictures of Michelle too, as next to the family’s Christmas tree was a poster of Michelle in her West End debut as Miss Hedge in Everybody’s Talking about Jamie.
On the family’s fridge, the shrine continued. Forget the typical holiday magnets, as on this family’s fridge, there was a variety of stickers of the star.
Not only this, but there was also an area in the home dedicated to Michelle, filled with pictures from throughout her career.
There was also a framed copy of a Seduction vinyl, as well as a huge painting of the star too.
Michelle, who is married to author and screenwriter David Case, lives in California, with her husband, Lola and their other daughter Lillie.
Lola later added: “Love you mom!”
The TikTok clip, which was posted under the username @notbeansfromrango, has clearly left many totally stunned, as in just two days, it has quickly gone viral and has since amassed a whopping 3.2 million views.
Social media users were shocked that Michelle was Lola’s mother and many claimed that Lola was living a “dream” as a result.
One person said: “How does it feel to live my dream?”
Another added: “Being related to Michelle Visage is a slay in a way that I could never achieve, keep being an icon.”
A third commented: “This is the biggest possible flex that could exist on planet earth.”
Whilst someone else wrote: “I need to be you.”
At the same time, another user claimed: “I would love her as my mom.”
Even Michelle wrote: “As it should be!!! I love you kiddo.”
