However, not everything went to plan with Amanda confessing that they felt a “presence” in the house as soon as they entered.
Speaking to The Sun’s TV Mag, the Britain’s Got Talent judge said: “We felt a presence, but it wasn’t ominous, it felt like a friendly energy.
“Things did start happening, the lights went on and off a lot!”
Co-star Alan echoed: “A few things flew around, that’s all we’re going to say.
“It was an emotional house and I could see why it was haunted.”
However, the haunted element was not what made Amanda the most sad.
In fact, she revealed that actually having to leave and walk away from the home pained her having put her all into the refurbishment.
Amanda told TV Mag: “The saddest thing for us is to shut the door and say goodbye to the house.
“It’s brilliant that someone’s going to buy it and it’s all for charity, but there’s a piece of us left in Sicily, and there’s now a piece of us left in Tuscany.”
Amanda and Alan had viewers in hysterics with the first edition of their BBC One property show.
It allowed viewers a peek into their real-life friendship as well as the process of fixing up the dilapidated house.
The brand new series of the show follows the exact same principle as the first, only this time they find themselves in picturesque Tuscany as opposed to Sicily.
