Recently we saw shoppers scramble to get their hands on the new Quality Street Favourites bars – and now they’ve been reduced by the much-loved chain.

One savvy shopper was left stunned at the epic reduction and took to social media to alert other bargain hunters.

Particularly for those on a budget who are looking to save pennies where possible, you’ll want to get down to your local Sainsbury’s as quickly as you can.

Posting on Extreme Couponing and Bargains UK, a private Facebook group with a staggering 2.3 million members, Lisa Gerrard shared a picture of her purchase, the Quality Street Favourites bar, inspired by The Purple One.

Alongside her post, she said: “Sainsbury’s 37p. Was £1.25, reduced to 62p, scanned at 37p.”

Lisa then added: “Christmas item so likely not many left in stores.”

Lisa shared her post just four hours ago, but it has quickly left many very impressed, with shoppers eager to nab themselves the sweet treat.

One person said: “My favourite.”

Another added: “Oh I like the purple one, only orange left in my Asda. Same price.”

At the same time, not everyone was a fan of the bargain buy.

One foodie wrote: “They don’t actually taste like the original big purple ones – cheap everywhere – Farmfoods have them – obviously not sold well.”

A second chimed in: “These taste rank.”

Whilst someone else shared: “Got one from Asda yesterday, it’s really sickly.”

Meanwhile, many other shoppers expressed that they too have spotted this chocolate bar in a variety of other stores.

One bargain hunter claimed: “49p in Home Bargains too.”

Someone else wrote: “50p in Iceland.”

Another savvy shopper expressed; “50p in Co-Op.”

Whilst another foodie beamed: “Asda had loads of Christmas chocolates reduced all in date till mid 2024.”
