An accidental discharge of a firearm occurred in a textile showroom in Udupi, injuring a staff member. The incident happened when the cleaning staff found a pistol in the men's toilet. Without taking proper precautions, one of the staff members checked and cocked the pistol, causing it to fire a bullet and injure the person's left arm. The pistol was left behind by a licensed owner, Jayprakash. The police have launched an investigation and have secured Jayprakash and another staff member, Avinash.
