Gina who refers to herself as Xennial auntie shared her comments in a TikTok video online.
She said: “The viral Primark pyjamas….you can live without these.”
“A gentle reminder that you don’t need every viral thing.”
The fashion fan said she was aware the pyjamas have been trending but she couldn’t understand why.
She said: “Every other post on my FYP are these pyjamas from Primark.”
“The influences are saying that they are so warm and they keep you so cosy.”
The fashion fan claims that those comments are not possible because of the material the pyjamas are made out of.
She said: “How’s that then Becky? Because they’re made of polyester.”
“Yes plastic.”
The fashion fan claimed polyester was the worst material you could go for if you are trying to keep warm in bed.
She said: “They’re not keeping you toasty and warm they’re covering you in plastic and boiling you alive.”
“It’s not warmth it’s sweat and a rash.”
Gina warned others: “Leave them behind you don’t need them.”
The fashion fans’ video racked up over 420,000 views.
One user said: “Not to mention it’s not even a set, £14 top and £14 bottom.”
Another said: “And they proudly put a big label on clothes ‘Made from recycled plastic!’ like that will convince me to buy it.”
“If there’s any clothes that you don’t want to be 100% plastic it’s pyjamas!!!” protested a third user.
Someone else claimed: “Apparently the red set stains bed sheets.”
One happy viewer said: “Thank you, babe, cos I was going to go and buy them.”
