Jenkins scores 21 as St. John’s defeats Hofstra 84-79
NEW YORK (AP) — Daniss Jenkins had 21 points in St. John’s 84-79 win against Hofstra on Saturday.
Jenkins also had nine rebounds and eight assists for the Red Storm (9-4). Jordan Dingle scored 15 points and added five rebounds. Joel Soriano was 5 of 9 shooting and 4 of 8 from the free throw line to finish with 14 points.
Tyler Thomas led the way for the Pride (7-6) with 24 points and nine rebounds. Hofstra also got 23 points, two steals and three blocks from Darlinstone Dubar. Jaquan Carlos also had 10 points, four assists and two steals.
