On Sunday (New Year's Eve), light snow or a wintry mix is expected as the clipper system slides southeastward from the Great Lakes region through the central Appalachians. Overnight Sunday and into Monday (New Year's Day), the clipper system will bring snow to interior sections of the Northeast and mid-Atlantic.
