Colina IV Davao City – The Philippine government (GPH) and the Moro Islamic Liberation Front (MILF) have agreed to increase the membership of the Bangsamoro Transition Committee (BTC) from 15 to 21 in their meeting held in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia Saturday. In a video posted by the Presidential Communications Operations Office (PCOO), MILF panel chair Mohagher Iqbal said that the addition of six more slots in the BTC was made to ensure the inclusivity in the implementation of the Comprehensive Agreement of the Bangsamoro (CAB), the final peace agreement of the GPH and MILF. Iqbal said the MILF may now nominate 11 members, up from the previous eight, while the GPH will name 10, from what used to be just seven nominees.
