8 NCR cities to experience water service interruption Oct.12-16
Customers of Maynilad Water Services, Inc. in eight cities in the National Capital Region (NCR) may experience water service interruption from Oct. 12 -16.
Maynilad said on Tuesday night, Oct. 11, that the service interruption will occur daily on the said dates from 9 a.m. to 11 p.m. in some barangays in Caloocan, Malabon, Las Pinas, Manila, Makati, Paranaque, Pasay and Quezon Cities due to high water demand in its Bagbag Reservoir.
In Caloocan City, parts of barangays, 95, 99, 133, 134, 136, 138 to 142, 144, 145, 147, 157 to 159, and 161 to 163 will be affected by the water service interruption.
Barangays Bangkal, Magallanes, Pio Del Pilar, and San Isidro in Makati City, as well as Sto. Nino and Tambo in Paranaque City will also be affected.
There will also be no water on the said dates in Barangays Pamplona Uno to Pamplona Tres, Pulanglupa Uno and Dos, Manuyo Dos and Zapote in Las Pinas City.
Maynilad said that in Quezon City, barangays Baesa, Bahay Toro, Bungad, Maharlika, Pag-ibig sa Nayon, Paltok, Saint Peter, Sangandaan, Sauyo, Talipapa, Tandang Sora, Vetarans Village, including 157, 158, 163, and 164, are affected by the water interruption.
Affected areas in Manila City are barangays 95,100,103 to 105, 107, 108, 587, 588, 598 to 601, 649, 662, 673, 675, 676, 686 t0 695, 707 to 718, 720, 724, 725, 731 to 734, 739, 744 to 762, 769, 803, 807, 826 to 836, 842, 845, 846, 850, 851, 855 to 859, 862, 864, 867, 868, 870 to 872, and 587 A.
In Pasay, the affected barangays are 149 to 153, 156, 159, 161 to 163, 165, to 167, 169, 171 to 175, 178, 179, 181, 184, 190, and Pio del Pilar.
Seven barangays are also affected in Malabon CIty — Concepcion, Dampalit, Ibaba, Longos, Potrero, San Agustin, and Tanong.
Maynilad said its mobile water tankers will be deployed to the affected areas to deliver potable water. Stationary tanks are also installed in several areas.
“We encourage our affected customers to store enough water when supply is available. Upon resumption of water service, please let the water flow out briefly until it clears,” Maynilad added.
