Low enrollment to close Ingleside Catholic school, despite raising funds to cover budget deficit

Despite raising over half a million dollars to keep the school open, St. Bede School in Ingleside will close at the end of the academic year due to low enrollment for next school year. Rev. George Koenue, pastor of Our Lady of the Lakes Parish announced Thursday the private Catholic school would close at the end of the year. Friday forecast: Snow in parts of northern Illinois, temps in mid 30s

Weather officials are expecting snow showers Friday morning before conditions change to light rain depending on the temperature. Current morning conditions at O’Hare International Airport are light snow with fog and midst at 32 degrees, and at Midway Airport conditions are the same at 33 degrees, according to the National Weather Service. There is a 50 to 90 percent chance of snow showers to continue throughout Friday into the night hours when there is a chance for a rain and snow mix as temperatures are expected to hover in the mid 30s.
