Google Home Max will get an update to fix audio latency issues

The Verge

The Google Home Max will be receiving a performance update to fix audio latency issues by the end of the month, reports The Next Web. Currently, when you play something through the speaker via its 3.5mm port, like a record player, there’s a noticeable lag. That can be annoying if you’re using your Home Max with a TV source and the sound is delayed and out of sync with the picture. Google says the new update should fix this, and it’s expected to reduce line-in delay from 550 to 39 milliseconds. Читать дальше...

The Verge

Google recently overhauled Gmail with a fresh revamp and new functions. Now the company is following on from that and rolling out an update to how Google Drive will look on the web. There’s no change in the way you use Drive; the redesign just involves color changes and where icons and buttons are placed. Google says it made visual tweaks to Drive to align with its latest Material Design principles, which were already on show in the new Gmail. “We built this new interface to create a responsive and efficient experience for Drive users... The Verge

The Nintendo Switch is great, but its kickstand sucks — not only is it flimsy, it only has one angle and can't be used while the system is charging because the USB-C port is on the bottom edge of the console. There are a couple of solutions out there, including an elevated stand from Hori and an expensive Twelve South option originally designed for the iPhone, and now Nintendo is attempting to fix the problem itself.
