Ohio dropping its color-coded coronavirus warning map

COLUMBUS — With new coronavirus infections falling as vaccinations rise, the Ohio Department of Health announced Thursday that it was immediately dropping its color-coded map of counties that had at points last year been used as a warning of danger ahead.

Jacqueline Mathis, an eager volunteer in youth activities while she raised her children and then in the community, from the LPGA golf tournament to the 577 Foundation, died Saturday in her Perrysburg Township home. She was 87.
