It's time for the people who live and work in Toledo to take immediate action to resolve the escalation of crime in the city. No more blaming the police. No more waiting passively around for something good to happen. We need to come together with some action planning that might sound radical at first blush but just might work.

Pariss M. “Mike” Coleman, a Toledo junior high principal and substitute administrator who returned as a school volunteer for years in retirement, died Monday in University of Toledo Medical Center, the former Medical College of Ohio Hospital. He was 75.
