COLUMBUS — At least a temporary hurdle on Wednesday was thrown into the path of a proposal to ask voters to take the power of redrawing congressional and state legislative districts out of the hands of Ohio politicians and put it in the hands of an independent commission.

Ottawa Hills schools could fall under state control if it doesn't convince the Ohio Supreme Court to place its 12.9-mill levy on the fall ballot after the Lucas County Board of Elections Wednesday rejected its request to overlook an error in that levy ballot language.
