Players IQ...

Small Heath Alliance

As we sat suffering that second - half surrender yesterday I couldn't help but wonder if the individual and collective IQ of our players was lower/higher or about par for professionals in the top 2 tiers of English football ?
Does it actually matter ?
If one or two hadn't switched off for the free kick which led to Norwich's first, who knows what result we'd have achieved ?
Is switching off more likely if the individual's IQ is lower than others ?
Are our mob bright enough ? Читать дальше...

No one could have predicted February's game could very well have been the NFL's last great defining moment. A league that once seemed untouchable is under siege as the turbulent 2017 regular season draws to a close. A tsunami of troubles — some self-inflicted — have been washing over the NFL, and for the first time in a half century or so the league's warts are on prominent display. Читать дальше...

I visited two destinations on most people's bucket lists — and it changed how I think about travel

BusinessInsider.com

Chris Weller/Business Insider

  • Trips to Iceland and Kenya have taught me a valuable lesson about the point of travel.
  • Instead of risking large sums of money on tourist grabs, the real value comes in the unplanned experiences.
  • I'm more likely to cherish the stories of people I met than the things I saw.

Over the past couple years, I had the opportunity to knock off two of the biggest items on most people's bucket lists: seeing the Northern Lights in Iceland and going on African safari in Kenya.

For Every Leadership Style There Is a Season

Real Clear World

Victor Davis Hanson, National Review
America has always enjoyed two antithetical traditions in its political and military heroes. The preferred style is the reticent, sober, and competent executive planner as president or general, from Herbert Hoover to Gerald Ford to Jimmy Carter. George Marshall remains the epitome of understated and quiet competence. The alternate and more controversial sorts are the loud, often reckless, and profane pile drivers. Think Andrew Jackson of Teddy Roosevelt. Both types have been appreciated... Читать дальше...

Trump's Clinton tweets cut against Comey firing explanation

Times Union

WASHINGTON (AP) — When President Donald Trump fired James Comey in May, he said he was acting on the recommendation of Justice Department leaders who had faulted the FBI director for publicly releasing "derogatory information" about Hillary Clinton at the conclusion of the email server investigation one year earlier.
