The White House is prepared for the tariffs not to go into effect if there is a sudden breakthrough in negotiations with Mexico.

As President Donald Trump’s June 10 deadline approaches, his resolve to put new tariffs on Mexico has only grown firmer. “I think it’s more likely the tariffs go on, and we’ll probably be talking during the time the tariffs are on, and they’re going to be paid,” he told reporters in London yesterday.

Setting off on May 23rd, 2019, protesters finally reached Salem at the end of the month, where a demonstration was held. Stocks pull together back-to-back gains on Fed rate-cut hopes

U.S. stocks ended solidly higher on Wednesday as investors battered by tariff threats took solace in rising expectations for easier monetary policy from the Federal Reserve. The S&P 500 rose 0.6% to end around 7,575. The Dow Jones Industrial Average picked up 207 points, or 0.8%, to finish near 25,540. The Nasdaq Composite rose 0.6% to end around 7,575.
