The Ludhiana Police Commissionerate has issued orders making it mandatory for filling stations, lPG cylinder agencies, shopping malls, marriage palaces, and money changer offices to install cctv cameras. A Punjab vigilance bureau officer, Kunal Gupta, was arrested on Monday for accepting a bribe of Rs. 15 lakh from a rice mill owner, Charanjit Singh. A fire broke out in a shopping area in Kanpur, India on Sunday night. The fire apparently was caused by sparks from a transformer near the railway line.
