The Daily News girls basketball rankings as of Tuesday, Dec. 6.
GIRLS BASKETBALL TOP 10
1. Sierra Canyon (3-0): The Trailblazers haven’t played since November 25 but resume play this week in Utah against Bonita Vista, Fremont and Lone Peak.
2. Harvard-Westlake (5-3): The Wolverines stay at No. 2 after a lopsided win over Schurr Monday. Harvard-Westlake is competing in a tournament at Burroughs High in Burbank this week.
3. Chaminade (6-3): The Eagles have won five straight after getting healthy, including wins over Granada Hills and Westlake. Chaminade’s top scorer is different each night … Alanna Neale, Natalie Patrick-Aguiar, Amia Witt, Peyton Montgomery, Laila Carrillo. It could be anyone.
4. Canyon (5-0): Canyon started its Foothill League campaign with a big win over West Ranch. Josie Regez and Jade Sims leading the way.
5. Westlake (4-1): The Warriors suffered their first loss to Chaminade Monday night, 64-56. Westlake has just one senior on its team and is led by a 6-foot-2 freshman Mathis Fritz and a crop of sophomores.
6. Granada Hills Charter (7-2): The Highlanders’ only losses this season are to Westlake and Chaminade. Junior guard Marianne Boco is on the shortlist to be the City’s Player of the Year. She scored 33 in the setback to Chaminade.
GIRLS HOOPS: Hart and Saugus faceoff in a Foothill League showdown tonight at 5 p.m. in Newhall. Saugus has two standout freshmen: Shannen Wilson and EvaMarie Rios. Hart is led by Laney Grider, a senior averaging 19.3 points per game.@HartGirlsBaske1 | @Saugus_Sports

7. Hart (7-0): Still unbeaten after quality wins over Crescenta Valley and Golden Valley. Big game against Saugus in the Foothill League Tuesday night.
8. Oaks Christian (3-2): The Lions have been idle since a 47-28 win over Santa Barbara on Nov. 28, but now look ahead to a tournament this week at Mira Costa.
9. Saugus (2-3): The Centurions took down Valencia 58-52 on Nov. 29 led by a tandem of freshmen. Shannen Wilson had 20 and EvaMarie Rios had 16.
10. Notre Dame (5-0): The Knights hang on at No. 10 before heading into the North East Valley Tournament at Vaughn High this week. Notre Dame could finish the week 9-0.
