Is 'The Holiday' Getting a Sequel? Director Nancy Meyers Responds to Viral Report

There’s a viral report circulating that the 2006 fan-favorite film The Holiday is getting a sequel.

Well, director Nancy Meyers is now responding directly to that report, and responding directly to all of the fans who seem to be extra-excited that their fave holiday film is getting a round 2.

Nancy Meyers shared a photo of the headline to her Instagram account and confirmed, “So many DM’s about this — sorry but it’s not true. ❤️. The false report also indicated that Kate Winslet, Cameron Diaz, Jude Law and Jack Black would all be reprising their roles from the movie.

The film is about two women troubled with guy-problems (Winslet and Diaz) who swap homes in each other’s countries, where they each meet a local guy (Black and Law) and fall in love.

Kate also shot down the rumor to People, saying, “I read something about that, but it’s the first I’ve heard of it. I promise you not an agent or a representative or anyone from the first one around has had any conversation with me about that. Hand on heart, that’s never come up.”
