[Volleyball] Ritter & Martinez Named to NAIA AVCA Mideast All-Region Team

LEXINGTON, Ky. – Sophomore setter Kaleigh Ritter (Tinley Park, Ill./Lincoln-Way East) and sophomore libero Avanna Martinez (Coamo, Puerto Rico/Colegio Ponceno) were named the to the NAIA AVCA Mideast All-Region team when for the Saint Xavier University women's volleyball team (24-10/15-2 CCAC) when the awards were announced last Friday. Ritter was claimed First Team recognition, while Martinez was named Honorable Mention. It's the second consecutive season that Ritter has earned First Team honors and was named the AVCA Freshman of the Year in 2021. The players are chosen by the NAIA selection committee and are divided into 10 regions with 14 players named to each All-Region team and eight earning Honorable Mention honors.
